CITIC Pharmaceutical was established on June 14, 1993 and registered in Haikou of Hainan Province with primary registered capital of RMB 15 million, contributed by CITIC Trust (Hainan) Corporation of China CITIC Group; formerly known as CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial (Hainan) Corporation.
In 1994, CITIC Pharmaceutical started to explore Beijing market, act as agent for products of pharmaceutical enterprises home and abroad, and get engaged in direct sale and pharmaceutical wholesale business, pharmaceutical retailing business, and related investment business.
Leaders of CITIC Group put much emphasis on development of CITIC Pharmaceutical. On September 12, 2000, CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial (Hainan) Corporation changed its name into CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial Corporation (an enterprise wholly owned by the state) as approved by China CITIC Group and relevant authorities with registered capital increased from RMB 15 million to RMB 60 million, thus becoming secondary wholly-owned subsidiary of China CITIC Group.
On September 10, 2001, CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial Co., Ltd. successfully got the GSP certification from State Drug Administration, and became the first GSP certified enterprise in Hainan Province.
On January 18, 2007, CITIC Pharmaceutical changed its name into CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial Co., Ltd. through transformation, after which China Health System Ltd. owned 69% shares, and CITIC Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. of China CITIC Group owned 31% shares, and the former wholly-owned enterprise changed to be a joint venture.
The 5th Session of 1st Board of Directors of CITIC Pharmaceutical Industrial Co., Ltd. held on April 27, 2008 made a resolution that the following would be employed to participate in senior management team: president – Nie Shenqian, general manager – Sun Changsen, executive vice-general manager – Zhang Huakai, vice-general manager – Zhang Wei, Wang Qiumeng ,Li Hongyi, financial director – Chang Li, vice-financial director – Yin Feng;
Up to December, 2007 since its establishment in 1993, CITIC Pharmaceutical has paid a total of taxes of RMB 355 million. |
